OVERVIEW

With an aerodynamic 45mm deep profile, the C45 is our jack-of-all-trades wheel set. Whether you are chasing KOMs on the mountain or racing your buddies to the next checkpoint, this wheelset is for you. We have designed the rim to work with both new road bikes or as a fantastic choice to upgrade your older road bike with limited clearance.

FEATURES

NEW GROOVED GRAPHENE BRAKING SURFACE

We are extremely pleased and excited to feature our new Grooved Graphene Braking Surface. Our new resin system and construction method, combined with the 3k rim track, withstands over 280°C, dissipates heat, and lowers rim temperatures faster in between braking efforts. Gain confidence-inspiring brake performance on the steepest descents and wettest conditions with our matching brake pads. The grooved track helps evacuate trapped moisture between pad and rim in wet conditions, and brings more resistance and force at the lever when conditions are dry.

ROL ULTRALIGHT HUBS

Not only have we upgraded our rims, we have updated our hub sets to support new and old drive trains. Our hubs are available with all modern drivetrains. Our freehubs now have an Anti-Bite system to prevent the cassette from digging into the body of the freehub. The hubs are one of the strongest and lightest hubs on the market.

We use premium J-Bend Stainless Spokes and Brass Nipples for durability. 

HEAVY RIDER OPTION

Our 20/24 spoke model is perfect for riders up to 220 lbs. For riders that want a more robust wheel, or weigh more than 220 lbs, select our 28/28 spoke model. It can support riders to 280 lbs.

Our D'Huez has receive a couple minor upgrades that make a great classic wheel just a little more modern and better. .We have done some minor modifications to allow the wheel to set up for tubeless just a little easier. For the Premium D'Huez, we have paired our amazing rim with American Made White Industries Hubs.

The D'Huez feature our proprietary rims. They are a 25mm deep profile with an 18mm Internal and 23mm external widths. The White Industries T-11 hubs are the standard for the industry. There are none better. They are available with Shimano HG, SRAM XDR and Campagnolo free hubs with a titanium freehub. 

The wider rim improves tire performance by reducing sidewall flex and widening the contact patch. On these road bike wheels, you'll be more secure in the turns, no matter the speed or the road surface. And if you opt for tubeless tires, with our recommended rim strip and valve, you'll enjoy even more comfort and traction with lower tire pressures, while virtually eliminating flats.

Recommended rider weight limit is 86kg/190lbs.

Taking our national championship winning D'HUEZ rims, and adding additional spokes allows us to make a performance oriented wheel for the heavier rider, or rim brake gravel rider.  The DERONDE wheel  can be used in several situations, such as rough roads, loaded touring and cyclocross. The tubeless compliant wheels can support a wide range of tires, from 23mm road tires to 45mm gravel tires..

OVERVIEW

The D'HUEZ and VOLANTS big brother, the DERONDE 32 is for aggressive riders and those who prefer a stiff yet compliant ride from their wheels. The DERONDE is a performance wheel for pounding out training miles, slamming industrial park criterium corners or finessing bumpy cyclocross courses. This is also an idea wheel for heavier road bike riders and for touring.

Even though we have bumped up the spoke count to 32 spokes per wheel, which provides increased stiffness and durability, the wheels are light and responsive.

The DERONDE 32 wheelset shares its sibling's wide rim, improving tire performance for secure handling and all-day comfort. We hand-build the DERONDE in the U.S. with ROL or White Industries Hubs and lightweight but strong, stainless steel spokes. These wheels will be laced 3 cross both front and rear for extra strength and stiffness.

These wheels pair the amazing White Industries T-11 hubs with a rim that we have partnered with made by Astral Cycling. Both are made in America. The wheels are handbuilt in Colorado. The White Industries T-11 hubs are the highest quality and most durable hubs available. They feature hand-milled parts, and titanium freehubs available for Shimano HG, SRAM XDR and Campagnolo drive trains. We use stainless steel spokes and brass nipples on each build for durability. With a 32mm profile and a 20mm internal width. this rim is stout and responsive. It will hold up to the demands of heavier riders, tandems, or loaded touring. The rim come with the tubeless easy system, meaning you can inflate a tubeless tire at home, using your floor pump.
