With an aerodynamic 45mm deep profile, the C45 is our jack-of-all-trades wheel set. Whether you are chasing KOMs on the mountain or racing your buddies to the next checkpoint, this wheel set is for you.

This wheel set offers all the aerodynamic benefits of a much deeper profile in a lighter package that’s easier to control in crosswinds. If there’s climbing to do, these could be your best choice. We have designed the rim to work with both new road bikes or as a fantastic choice to upgrade your older road bike with limited clearance.

FEATURES

NEW GROOVED GRAPHENE  BRAKING SURFACE

We are extremely pleased and excited to feature our new Grooved Graphene Braking Surface. Our new resin system and construction method, combined with the 3k rim track, withstands over 280°C, dissipates heat, and lowers rim temperatures faster in between braking efforts. Gain confidence-inspiring brake performance on the steepest descents and wettest conditions with our matching brake pads. Also, graphene added to the rim brake track allows for greater resistance to overheating with improved heat dissipation and reduced temperature accumulation during heavy braking. The grooved track helps evacuate trapped moisture between pad and rim in wet conditions, and brings more resistance and force at the lever when conditions are dry.

WHITE INDUSTRIES T-11 HUBS

The T11 is White Industries rim brake (non-disc) road hub and is the perfect choice for road and cross builds.  Made in White Industries shop from U.S. sourced 6061-T6 aluminum. The White Industries hub sets support new and old drive trains and feature titanium freehubs. They are compatible with Shimano HG and SRAM PG Cassettes (Shimano HG freehub); SRAM XGR Cassettes (SRAM XDR freehub) and Campagnolo cassettes. .

We use premium J-Bend Stainless Spokes and Brass Nipples for durability. 

HEAVY RIDER OPTION

Our 20/24 spoke model is perfect for riders up to approximately 220 lbs. For riders that want a more robust wheel, or weigh more than 220 lbs, select our 28/28 spoke model. It can support riders to 300 lbs.

OVERVIEW

The latest advancement of our popular C45AR - All Road Series, our new ROL-Flow profile offers significant performance benefits.

The design reduces aero drag, is more laterally stiff, and has 30% greater impact resistance.

The C45 AR disc’s are a great choice if you want a fast mid-depth rim that will give you an edge over the competition. It is our Adventure Road model, and is comfortable on any road, paved or gravel. The wheel is at home with Century Road Rides, Road Races, Triathalons and even Gravel  Rides. The wheels will fit tires from 25mm to 45mm. 

The rims are made with a lend of Toray T700 & T800 Premium Carbon Fiber, They have an internal width: 21mm from bead to bead to allow for great control. The external widths is a maximum of 28mm makes the wheel cut through the wind and provide a nice aerodynamic flow.

Our standard set runs with a 24 spoke count for both front and rear. They are laced 2 cross.

Our C45AR Carbon Disc Wheels come standard with ROL CLD (Center Lock Design) hubs. They are sealed bearing hubs with a 6-pawl mechanism. They are laced to our rims with lightweight stainless steel J-Bend Spokes with Brass nipples. We prefer to build the wheels with durability than save a few ounces on alloy nipples.  

They wheels are available with Shimano HG, SRAM XDR or Campagnolo freehubs. The standard axle option is 12x100/12x142 axles. If you need a different axle combination, select Other and we will respond to you via email to make sure we have the right axle combination.

This is a great all-around wheel for all types of riding. The C45's have been popular for road riding and racing, time trials and triathlons, gravel and cyclocross. This carbon wheelset is fast, strong and comfortable. ROL ULTRALIGHT HUBS

Not only have we upgraded our rims, we have updated our hub sets to support new and old drive trains. Our hubs are available with all modern drivetrains. Our freehubs now have an Anti-Bite system to prevent the cassette from digging into the body of the freehub. The hubs are one of the strongest and lightest hubs on the market.

We use premium J-Bend Stainless Spokes and Brass Nipples for durability.

OVERVIEW

Let's just cut to the chase - the rims weigh approximately 270 grams - they are light! The ROL hubs are light - weighing just 385 grams for the set. We will let you decide the weight of the spokes.

This wheel set is made for climbing and lightweight performance. It is also stiff and responsive.

The Blue Sky is made from Toray T700 & T800 Premium Carbon Fiber. It has an internal width of 23 mm and an external width of 30 mm which allows a wide profile for a road tire to optimize traction for cornering and allow for a nice aero profile to cut the wind. The depth of the rim is 27 mm. The Blue Sky is built for tires 25-52 mm wide. 

The Blue Sky is a 24 spoke count wheel for both front and rear. They are laced to ROL CLD hubs. You will choose between a lightweight double butted or bladed spoke. The bladed spokes are lighter, and the double butted are stronger. For durability, we build all of our wheels with brass spokes. 

The ROL CLD hubs are sealed bearings with a 6-pawl mechanism. They ROL smooth and quiet. They are available with Shimano, SRAM or Campagnolo freehubs.

The wheels are available in a standard 12x100/12x142 axle, however other configurations are available. Just email tom@rolwheels.com if you need something different.

With a 32mm profile and a 20mm internal width. this rim is stout and responsive. It will hold up to the demands of heavier riders, tandems, or loaded touring. The rims come with the tubeless easy system, meaning you can inflate a tubeless tire at home, using your floor pump.

Our D'Huez has received a couple minor upgrades that make a great classic wheel just a little more modern and better. .We have done some minor modifications to allow the wheel to set up for tubeless just a little easier. The D'Huez feature our proprietary rims. They are a 25mm deep profile with an 18mm Internal and 23mm external widths. The White Industries T-11 hubs are the standard for the industry. There are none better. They are available with Shimano HG, SRAM XDR and Campagnolo free hubs with a titanium freehub. 

The wider rim improves tire performance by reducing sidewall flex and widening the contact patch. On these road bike wheels, you'll be more secure in the turns, no matter the speed or the road surface. And if you opt for tubeless tires, with our recommended rim strip and valve, you'll enjoy even more comfort and traction with lower tire pressures, while virtually eliminating flats.

Welcome to the ROL family - the new Radiant wheel set! Were you a fan of the Race SLR? This is the successor!  As we phased out the Race SLR, we had a number of requests for a wheel that was similar to it.

The Radiant is a lightweight alloy rim brake wheel set for all occasions. Light enough for racing, strong enough for touring and training. This is a classically designed aerodynamic profile built to shred the wind and save watts. New updates also include the tubeless easy System, allowing this wheel to set up tubeless, or if you want to run old school with tubes, no problem at all. 

Like the Race SLR the wheel set is set up as a 24 spoke front wheel and 28 spoke rear wheel. The wheels will support riders in the 170-220 lbs weight range. 

Like our other alloy rims, this is part of our Premium Collection of American made Rims. They are available with White Industries hubs with compatibility of Shimano, Campagnolo and SRAM XDR drivetrains.

Our D'Huez has receive a couple minor upgrades that make a great classic wheel just a little more modern and better. We have done some minor modifications to allow the wheel to set up for tubeless just a little easier. We have also paired the rim with our ROL Ultralight hub to provide simplicity and performance.

OVERVIEW

The D'Huez is named for the legendary Alpine climb that's featured in so many Tour de France battles. Our lively 1430 gram wheel set lives up to the history and will climb alongside wheels at twice the price.

The D'Huez feature our proprietary rims. They are a 25mm deep profile with an 18mm Internal and 23mm external widths. Our hubs are one of the lightest on the market, using sealed bearings. They are available with Shimano HG, SRAM XDR and Campagnolo free hubs with Anti-Bite Technology. 

The wider rim improves tire performance by reducing sidewall flex and widening the contact patch. On these road bike wheels, you'll be more secure in the turns, no matter the speed or the road surface. And if you opt for tubeless tires, with our recommended rim strip and valve, you'll enjoy even more comfort and traction with lower tire pressures, while virtually eliminating flats.

BASED ON OUR POPULAR D'HUEZ WHEEL, THE DERONDE IS A MORE ROBUST WHEEL GEARED TOWARDS HEAVIER RIDERS, LOADED TOURING AND ROUGHER ROADS. THE DERONDE IS NAMED FOR DERONDE DE FLANDERS, A RACE KNOWN FOR ITS RUGGED ROADS AND CONDITIONS. THIS WHEEL SET CAN TAKE A BEATING AND KEEP ON ROLLING. 

The added strength and durability of the DERONDE make it a natural choice for those who demand a wheel strong enough to stand up to heavier riders and loaded touring. The DERONDE will accommodate tires from 25mm to 45mm wide. The rims are easy to set up tubeless. 

Our ROL CLD disc hub set combines lightweight, durability, and value . They simply work great. The ROLhubs are available in both thru-axle and quick release combinations. They will work a all popular drive trains, as they are available with Shimano HG, Sram XDR and Campagnolo free hubs.

Taking our national championship winning D'HUEZ rims, and adding additional spokes allows us to make a performance oriented wheel for the heavier rider, or rim brake gravel rider.  The DERONDE wheel  can be used in several situations, such as rough roads, loaded touring and cyclocross. The tubeless compliant wheels can support a wide range of tires, from 23mm road tires to 45mm gravel tires..

The D'HUEZ and VOLANTS big brother, the DERONDE 32 is for aggressive riders and those who prefer a stiff yet compliant ride from their wheels. The DERONDE is a performance wheel for pounding out training miles, slamming industrial park criterium corners or finessing bumpy cyclocross courses. This is also an idea wheel for heavier road bike riders and for touring.

Even though we have bumped up the spoke count to 32 spokes per wheel, which provides increased stiffness and durability, the wheels are light and responsive.

The DERONDE 32 wheelset shares its sibling's wide rim, improving tire performance for secure handling and all-day comfort. We hand-build the DERONDE in the U.S. with ROL or White Industries Hubs and lightweight but strong, stainless steel spokes. These wheels will be laced 3 cross both front and rear for extra strength and stiffness.
