OVERVIEW

This fantastic new gravel wheel is build with a combination of Toray T700 & T800 Premium Carbon Fiber. Its shape, using the ROL-Flow profile provides a great shape that is aero and responsive. Our ROL CLD hubs are lightweight, and roll fast with sealed bearings. They provide a quick and solid engagement. We use bladed spokes that are light and strong with each build. . 

We provide the ability to upgrade to American Made hubs made by White Industries, Onyx and Chris King. If you want a specific color or axle configuration, please send us a message, in most cases we can do it.

Every wheel set is hand built to perfection in Colorado.

OVERVIEW

This is a great all-around wheel for all types of riding. The C45's have been popular for road riding and racing, time trials and triathlons, gravel and cyclocross. This carbon wheelset is fast, strong and comfortable. The C45 uses a mid-depth rim: it's light enough to accelerate and climb and a joy in cross winds, while its aerodynamics make you feel like you have an added gear at race speeds.

The C45 measures 28mm at its widest point - a bit wider than most to improve the tire's aerodynamics and widen its contact patch for better handling. You'll get more out of your chosen tires with a wider rim.

Premium Sapim Race Spokes are double butted and provide a combination of lighweight and strength.  The brass Sapim Secure Lock nipples work great for strength and hold up better to corrosion than standard alloy nipples.

The C45 can be built with a number of different axle combinations. If you don't see it, let us know and we will get you taken care of. Disc brake axle types are as follows:

The Range Disc Carbon Clincher is one of the lightest and strongest carbon tubeless disc wheelsets on the planet.  

OVERVIEW

Built with our proprietary Gravel/CX rim utilizing unidirectional Toray carbon fiber pre-preg, our rim comes in at a scant 353 grams! Laced to a ROL CLD Hub, or an upgrade to either a White Industries CLD or Industry Nine hubset, with SAPIM blade spokes and locking nipples, the Range Carbon is a phenomenal blend of light weight, stiffness, precise handling and exceptionally user-friendly tire mounting. 

INDUSDRY NINE HUBS

Bringing the proven technology from I9's 1/1 mountain hubs, 1/1 road offers a reliable hub platform that stays true to the performance heritage known from I9 in a budget friendly package. A direct descendent from the mountain life, the 1/1 hubs are engineered with high capacity bearings, ready for anything the road or trail can throw at them. Constructed with a dual phased-pawl drive mechanism with 90 points of engagement or 4° between engagement, the hubs offer rapid power transfer for rocketing out of corners or ratcheting through uneven terrain. Utilizing the same construction as I9's 1/1 mountain bike hubs, the 1/1 gravel line is perfect for any route that involves gated off forest service roads, bikepacking or bomb proof road builds.

Both Industry Nine and White Industries hubs are American made. Every wheelset is hand built to perfection in Colorado. This gravel wheelset comes in any axle configuration.

For a limited time, we are offering a special price on pre-ordering the C45 with a White Industries T-11 hubs. The T11 Is White Industries non-disc light weight road hub set. These hubs have been designed to be durable and easy to service. The freehub body is made out of titanium to give you a light weight freehub that is extremely reliable. It is also versatile, you can change drive trains from Shimano Hyper Glide, SRAM XDR, or Campy without re-dishing the wheel. The axle materials have been built with purpose, a lightweight aluminum front axle and the T11’s steel rear axle brings the perfect balance of weight and stiffness. Finally, the high low flange, this feature allows you to build with more even spoke tension allowing your wheel to be stronger. All of these characteristics are what makes the T11 an ideal choice for any non-disc road bike.

OVERVIEW

The C35 is a lightweight, fast and comfortable precision tool for the serious adventurer.  The shallower 35mm rim profile handles confidently in cross-winds, while their momentum carries speed well.  The greatest single contributor to the design of our new rim profiles is the blunt, "bullnose" shape of its "spoke face".  Designed using CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics), we labored to create a profile that would slice through the air at any yaw angle while increasing crosswind stability.  Here are some features of our new design:

High TG Rim Brake Track

Our resin system and construction method, combined with the 3k rim track, withstands over 280°C, dissipates heat, and lowers rim temperatures faster between braking efforts. Gain confidence inspiring brake performance on the steepest descents and wet conditions with our matching brake pads.

Grooved Graphene Brake Track - Now avaiable at no extra charge

As an upgrade option, we have the Grooved Graphene Brake Track, Our graphene version of the High TG brake track has even greater resistance to overheating with improved heat dissipation and reduced temperature accumulation during heavy braking. The grooved track helps evacuate trapped moisture between pad and rim in the wet and brings more resistance when conditions are dry, so less force at the lever is required.

Tubeless Compatible Technology

All of our rims are tubeless compatible with bead seat retention. In most cases a floor pump is needed to seal our rims. The bead shape, bead seat and outer diameter is tailored according to each rim width in order to achieve the best fit. Tubeless (no tube) systems are designed to run at lower pressures than tube systems without any negative effects. Lower rolling resistance, decreased rotational weight and flat resistance are all significant improvements.

Our wheelsets are standard with black hubs. If you would like to order hubs with a specific color, please contact tom@rolwheels.com. We will offer specials on color hubs at certain times through the season. There are chances that colored hubs will have longer lead times.
